LESS GIRL TALK, MORE GIRL WALK:

RELATIONSHIP GURU'S 'BIG RED BOOK' SHOWS WOMEN SUREFIRE WAYS TO GET WHAT THEY WANT

---A little black book has phone numbers. The big red book has all the answers

He's Just Not That Into You, proclaims the best-selling advice book turned blockbuster hit created by Sex and the City consultant Greg Behrendt. And poof! Now you're free from your old habits of hanging on to guys who aren't interested! But how exactly does this "moment of clarity" help women take charge of life and relationships without having to dissect messages from men?

Enter Ladies Listen Up! by relationship expert Stephanie Rockey. The bright red jacket of Rockey's book catches the eye, and between the covers rests the culmination of hundreds of client interviews with both men and women as founder and president of True Life Partners, a personal introduction and search company. Each interview consisted of 388 tailored relationship questions, ultimately providing the platform for the topics covered in the book. The common thread among the interviews? Women take a passive, "wait for the good things to come to me" tactic, and wonder why nothing's happening.

"Someone has to say it - women live in a fantasy world," says Rockey. "Women create in their heads the perfect scenario of how they want their life to be - perfect man, perfect relationship, perfect life. Women set themselves up for failure from minute one. No man lives up to these expectations, and in turn, women aren't happy with their men or their lives."

Ladies Listen Up! serves as a guide to help break women of this vicious cycle. Each chapter is designed to help women tackle specific issues with sex, money, love, friendships and careers - grasping the "reality" of each situation. If a better perception of reality is not in place, asserts Rockey, then there is no way women will acquire what they want out of life and relationships.

"This prominent misperception among the women I interviewed was so pervasive I felt obligated to help women and men understand each other better to ultimately find a healthier life and long-tem loving relationships," notes Rockey.

Stephanie Rockey is the founder and president of True Life Partners, a personal introduction and search company, and Rockey & Rockwell, Inc., an integrated marketing, advertising, interactive and public relations agency in the Washington, DC area. After hundreds of client interviews about relationships and life expectations, Rockey decided to document her findings in Ladies Listen Up!

Rockey graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Public Communications from St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She travels internationally, and enjoys gourmet cooking ... and watching football.
